The Silverado pickup truck is currently, as well as other notable updates, the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is slated to receive less substantial changes. For those who opt for a sleeker appearance, the perfect choice would probably be the Z71 with body-painted inserts in the grille instead of the chrome elements. The 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 will also be available with recently introduced LED-enhanced headlights and a reshaped hood.

As far as the interior is concerned, it provides high-quality trim finishes and ample storage space. If you go for higher trim levels, expect to see a bevy of premium materials as well as the most advanced amenities. The 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 will be offered with up to five USB plugs, a 110-volt outlet and two 12-volt ports. The model will once again be available in regular cab, double cab and crew cab configurations.

Engine Department

When it comes to the engine lineup, expect the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 to arrive with a choice of three familiar units. However, some sources suggest that GM plans to introduce a brand new ten-speed automatic transmission with this model year. Anyway, the entry-level versions will be powered by the 4.3-liter V6 EcoTec3  that generates 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque. Next in line will be the 5.3-liter V8 producing 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of twist, while the range-topping Silverado gets the 6.2-liter V8 churning out 420 hp and 460 lb-ft. All engines will be offered with both 2WD and optional 4WD setups. Thus far, Chevy’s pickup truck has been available with either the six-speed or eight-speed automatic gearboxes.

2017 Silverado 1500 Price

We expect the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 to arrive with unchanged pricing figures. In other words, expect the base models to start at around $28,000, while the High Country Silverado is likely to start at $54,000.
