2018 Dodge RAM 3500 Laramie Longhorn Is Not for Texas Only

In the medium duty truck segment, Dodge RAM pickup trucks occupy a special place. Especially RAM 3500, which along with the Laramie Longhorn trim has become an exceptionally attractive model. 2018 Dodge RAM 3500 is a refreshed version of the previous model. Changes are most common in the interior. Yet its characteristics, this model, like RAM 1500, and RAM 2500 did not abandon.

Interior opulence, luxury and new technology is what Dodge introduced in the 2018 RAM Laramie Longhorn. This trim is available in all three Dodge RAM pickup trucks. What gives more value to it is an exceptional customization option. Customers are able to fully customize the vehicle with their needs and wishes.

In addition to leather upholstery, the interior now adorns two characteristic colors of Light Front Beige Natura Plus and Canyon Brown. There may be a red stitch and some other detail. The interior is dominated by 8.4-inch touchscreen, and advanced navigation. From advanced systems and new technologies, there is almost nothing that RAM did not offer within the 2018 Dodge RAM 3500 model. It features Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and 4G Wi-Fi capability.

2018 Dodge RAM Laramie Longhorn is characterized by changes in the external design. Yes, they are minimal but they are still visible. A lower headlight look, and a redesigned high grille. There is an integrated tailgate spoiler. New 20-inch alloy wheels feature an attractive two-tone look.


Specs and Price

Regardless of the equal level of equipment and luxury, the drive units are not for each model the same. The success of Dodge trucks is heavily dependent on their powerful engines. 2018 Dodge RAM 3500 is equipped with a 6.7-liter turbo-diesel inline-6, which provides 385 horsepower. Unlike this model, the 2018 Dodge RAM 2500 is offered with two drive units. These are the 5.7-liter V8 and the 6.4-liter turbocharger V8, which produce 383 hp and 410 hp respectively. As the drive units were not changed, the transmission also remained the same. Each of these engines is either combined with either 6-speed automatic transmission, or 8-speed automatic transmission.

Some sources have stated in their texts that 2018 Dodge RAM Laramie Longhorn Southfork Edition is available only in Texas. It turned out that this information seems not entirely correct. Dodge just gave a statement that this heavy duty truck, raised Texas-style luxury to the next level. Model inspired by the Dallas TV series, comes in Crew Cab and Mega Cab configurations at a starting price of $ 52,615.
