2018 GMC Canyon DENALI Review

In 2004, GMC Canyon succeeded the company’s pickup model Sonoma. Although very similar to another GMs product, the Chevy Colorado pickup model, this model has its distinctive character. From 2015, ie 2016 model year, this model has received the highest degree of equipment. More specifically, Canyon also received the DENALI version. 2018 GMC Canyon DENALI is now a standard part of the offer of this model. This version prevails on the pickup truck market, because this model is the first and only premium mid-size truck.

Design and Specs

Canyon DENALI is available exclusively in the Crew Cab version. From the standard model, it differs at the higher level of equipment and several cosmetic twicks. 2018 Canyon DENALI is characterized by a large amount of chromium. In such a design there are front grills, thresholds and frames of fog lamps. Another detail, which separates the DENALI version from the standard model, are specially designed aluminum wheels of 20 inches.

As for the interior, the GMC Canyon DENALI 2018 offers a more comprehensive list of equipment and conveniences, compared to the standard version of the model. First of all, there is a revised instrument panel and a new color screen. In the model of the premium model, the vehicle also has special mats, thresholds with ‘DENALI’ mark, Mulan leather seats, steering wheel with heating system, as well as details of high quality wood. The list of standard equipment includes a system for heating and cooling front seats, automatic air conditioning, and GMC IntelliLink infotainment system with 8-inch color display and compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto systems.

2018 GMC Canyon DENALI Engine

This GMC premium pickup is offered with one gasoline and one diesel engine. The petrol unit has a volume of 3.6 liters. This V6 engine develops 305 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. The 2.8-liter Duramax turbo 4-cylinder diesel engine features 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque.

At the same time, when the ‘DENALI’ trim in the Canyon model was introduced, and the larger GMC pickup, Sierra got this package of equipment. The Sierra DENALI is offered with a 5.3-liter V8 engine with 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft, as well as a 6.2-liter V8 engine with 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.
