The BT-50 will also be available with new alloy wheels, while the XTR and GT trims offer tubular side steps. Unlike the old model that featured a grinning front fascia, the refreshed version boasts a more elegant styling with a horizontal theme.

For instance, the XTR and GT versions come with a redesigned center stack housing a 7.8-inch HD touchscreen as well as easy-to-use controls. Its power will be transmitted to the wheels through either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox. As for the 2.2-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel unit, it will be available exclusively with the 4×2 BT-50 models. This unit will be making 110 kW and 375 Nm of torque.

The 2016 Mazda BT-50 promises a lot of significant changes from its previous versions. It was first launched in the market in 2011 and from there onwards there has been no turning back for this company. Its strongest competitor that is Ford Ranger has already excelled in drawing a lot of fans towards it, but this version of Mazda will definitely try to win back more fans and create a good impact when the option for buying a  compact truck would be considered.
