The short-lived Suzuki Equator pickup truck is rumored to be relaunched for the 2017 model year. It first arrived for the 2009 MY as a rebadged version of the Nissan Frontier. Unfortunately, it didn’t last too long on the North American market due to the company’s bankruptcy and withdrawal from the U.S. and Canada. It now seems that Suzuki is seriously considering a revival of this capable pickup truck. Just like its predecessor, the 2017 Suzuki Equator is expected to share most of its components with the Frontier. Before it was discontinued, Suzuki’s truck used to be a solid alternative to the likes of the Toyota Tacoma, Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon and Honda Ridgeline. However, it remains to be seen whether the next-generation Suzuki Equator 2017 will be able to rival these names in the forthcoming years.
